First, I Understand the Exposure Risk
Before I take over, I need to understand what the blackmailer knows.
I ask direct questions:
- Do they know your real name?
- Do they have your telephone number?
- Have they found your partner or family?
- Do they know where you work?
- Do they have private photographs or videos?
- Have they contacted anyone?
- Have you already paid?
- When is the next deadline?
- What part of your life must remain private?
I separate what the blackmailer genuinely knows from what they only claim to know.
A screenshot of your employer’s website does not prove they contacted your employer.
A list of Facebook friends does not prove they sent anything.
A threat can be serious without every claim being true.
Fear fills in the missing details.

I Stall the Payment Demand
Most blackmailers want money.
They create urgency because frightened people make fast payments.
I use a tactic based on promising, breaking the promise and promising again.
The blackmailer is told that the money is coming.
When the payment date arrives, there is a reason for the delay.
A new promise is made.
Then another delay is created.
The stall is not a single message.
It is a repetitive process used to create time and keep the threat controlled.
Blackmailers can become aggressive when money is delayed. That does not mean the tactic is failing.
Their aggression is designed to force a reaction.
